In a recent home renovation, we reconfigured their space to enlarge the kitchen area. We removed the load-bearing wall between the kitchen and dining room. Not only did removing the wall open up space, but it also made room for the new kitchen island. Next, we closed in part of the screen porch to accommodate the new laundry room that was previously housed in the kitchen.
The entire renovated space received new paint, appliances, and flooring. We tiled the laundry room and installed engineered hardwoods in the remaining space. The new kitchen boasts Marsh Kitchens cabinets, granite countertops, a tile backsplash, a decorative hood over the stove complete with an exhaust fan, and new lighting throughout including recessed lights and under-counter lights.
The screened porch received a facelift with a new tongue and groove ceiling, recessed lighting, a new fan, and a fresh coat of paint. We added Hardie siding on the outside of the new laundry room and completed the space with a new window and exterior door.
